| The Mohanty sisters, Leena and Leesa are acclaimed exponents of Odissi. Committed to upholding their Late Guru Deba Prasad Das tradition, they strive towards cultivating a new generation of dancers trained in the Deba Prasad style of Odissi dance. Their future plans include the documentation of Odissi with special emphasis on Guru Deba Prasad Das's style, supporting films on Oriya culture and organising festivals for young and upcoming dancers at the national and international levels. Their current focus is on fresh choreographic ventures at Bansi Bilas and on strengthening their dance institute in Bhubaneswar. |
