| Celebrating Womanhood is the upcoming artist Aarthiee second solo exhibition. Brush work and the palette knife weave a magic of vibrant hues as the women in her canvases come to life in their myriad roles – as a mother, a lover, etc. The artist exaggerates parts of the anatomy as if subconsciously emphasising the power of womanhood through a distorted overt form that silently captures the viewer’s attention. Her charcoals are even more impacting as there is no colour here to soften the feminine form. The exhibition depicts the transitional stages of the artist’s growth as a painter and as a woman. |
