| This Photography Exhibition by Alex Levac is a portrayal of the contemporary culture of Israel, exploring the day-to-day life of its people. Drawing on nine years of work (1992 – 2001), the exhibition is in the tradition of the street photography of Robert Doisneau, Andres Kertesz, Cariter-Bresson, Helen Levitz and others. Alex Levac considers himself one of Israel’s most ‘detached’ photographers. This exhibition approaches the subject without any of the religious and geopolitical concerns that are conventionally associated with his country in global perception. |
